Western Digital was the first company to release a 2TB 3.5 inch hard drive, but it looks like Hitachi has done it better. The company is introducing their 2TB Deskstar 7K2000 which runs at a nice 7200 RPM (WD only could do 5400 RPM). Not many details have been released yet but what we do know is the DeskStar will have 32MB of cache and a 3Gbps SATA interface. There is no word on pricing or a release date as of yet but once it becomes available we’ll let you know. Love Technology: Share or Read More
